Edinburgh Castle

Last week I went to England trough London city airport. to see some historical places first I decided to go to Edinburgh Castle so that I can save the memory of that place because I have so many places which I saved in my gallery. When I was going to Edinburgh Castle, I needed a cab to pick me up from the airport and help me to drop me at Edinburgh Castle. I got a company that company was amazing the booking process was simple and the price was also reliable.

I started my journey with a friendly driver. He explained to me about every place I asked about Edinburgh Castle. He knew about this place and finally, I arrived at Edinburgh Castle. When I saw that place I was shocked. That place was new to me, and immediately I took a picture of the main gate of Edinburgh Castle. When I went inside the castle was very historical. I felt like I lived in an old time. was one guide with me he talked about the history of Edinburgh Castle.

St Margaret's Chapel in Edinburgh Castle is the city's oldest surviving structure. Today, in addition to being one of the highlights of a castle tour, it is used for celebrations and special services, most notably weddings. But did you know that it hosts a very special event once a year - a gathering of Margarets from all over the world? St Margaret, an exiled princess, was born in Hungary and came to Scotland in 1068. She later married Malcolm III, King of Scots. Margaret lived her life by Christian principles and did much to help the poor and vulnerable.

Around 1130, David, and I built St Margaret's Chapel in Edinburgh Castle in memory of his mother. Following the Scottish Reformation, the chapel fell into disuse. It was used as a gunpowder store in the 16th century. However, it was restored to its former glory in the nineteenth century. It is now a small and intimate space. Many couples prefer to marry in a small but intimate ceremony attended by up to 20 people. This can be combined with a catering offer in other Castle venues. Margarets Get Together

Fresh flowers are always available in the chapel, courtesy of the St Margaret's Chapel Guild. The Guild's members are all named Margaret, and they work with Historic Environment Scotland to keep the chapel in good condition. For many years, the Guild's annual AGM has been held in our large event space, the Queen Anne Building. The meeting is held on the 16th of November, the anniversary of St Margaret's death, and is attended by approximately 100 members. It includes special services held within the chapel. They are led by the Guild's President, who was previously the Minister of the Canongate Kirk. It's an incredible opportunity for this large and diverse group of Margarets from all over the world to come together.
